Linda
We had a wonderful stay at 4 Bell Lodge in a beautiful location near the seafront. The design of the bedrooms on the bottom floor was perfect for our party, especially for our friend who lives with dementia. It allowed them to escape downstairs for peace and quiet, with the added convenience of an en suite bathroom. The complementary nibbles and wine were a thoughtful touch, and we appreciated the phone call to let us know our room was ready before the official check-in time in case we wanted to arrive early. The location was also ideal, being halfway between Southwold and Sutton Hoo, which were the main attractions we were visiting, and a walk away from Aldeburgh.
All good 😊

Great location near sea front and attractions like Southwold and Sutton Hoo. Suitable design of bedrooms on bottom floor for our party. En suite downstairs for peace and quiet, helpful for someone with dementia. Complementary nibbles and wine, thoughtful gesture. Phonecall to notify us of early check-in availability
No issues.

Cramped downstairs bedrooms.

The nearest airport is conveniently located at Norwich International Airport, so I could fly in and out easily. The holiday home had all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay, including a well-equipped kitchen and a washing machine. I also enjoyed the proximity to windsurfing opportunities nearby.
Oh joy, towels were provided in the holiday home. Just what I wanted, a chance to dry myself off with towels that have been used by who knows how many people before me.

The location of this place was absolutely mind-blowing! We were able to visit Southwold and Sutton Hoo, and even take a walk to Aldeburgh. The complementary nibbles and wine were such a super surprise, and the phone call letting us know our room was ready early was jaw-droppingly thoughtful. The fact that the bedrooms were on the bottom floor near the sea front was just perfect for our group, especially since one of us lives with dementia and needed some peace and quiet. The en suite was a great bonus for them too.

We recently stayed at 4 Bell Lodge for a weekend getaway to explore the surrounding areas of Southwold and Sutton Hoo. The location in Thorpeness was perfect, as it was halfway between these two destinations and just a short walk from Aldeburgh. Upon arrival, we were pleasantly surprised by the complementary nibbles and wine, a thoughtful gesture. , the hotel staff went above and beyond by calling us to let us know our room was ready before the check-in time, allowing us to arrive early if we wished. As for the accommodations, the design of the bedrooms on the bottom floor was ideal for our group. One of our party members lives with dementia, and having an ensuite on the ground floor offered them peace and quiet when needed.
Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel breakfast menu could benefit from more variety.
